The Inspiration - or lack of it

Vincent Van GoghSrinivasa RamanujamSuakanta Bhattacharya

Creative work needs inspiration and motivation. The motivation generally comes from the inspiration. Motivation, followed by devotion, creates a really good work of creation.

Why am I writing this? Most of the time, people feel less motivated and that's because lack of inspiration for them. Very unlucky few get motivated from a peculiar inspiration that drive them to do wonders. That inspiration comes from their own nature. They have a pen they write, left with a paintbrushes and colors they will start painting, the insatiable desire to work, drives their whole life to remain creative.

Please have a look at the works of Vincent Van Gogh, the colors of his works came from a kind of devotion, the motivation and the inspiration that was astonishing. Most of his life, his works has not been recognized for some reason or other. Just like the great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan who struggled his short lifespan to know the infinity. I dearly love the story of poet Sukanta Bhattachrya, who was inspired by the experience as an active communist worker.

The similarity in the lives of all these people of extraordinary quality and enormous mental strength died in their 20s or 30s.But, all of their lives are so inspiring to us, to be more productive, till we live.

I also feel a similarity of Poet Jibanananda Das with them, but will write some words about him, some other day.

And last but not the least, the inspiration to write about my likings, my opinions, my views, in a straight cut manner in this blog has come from the blog Agnitrisha, where the writer writes whatever she likes, not bothering about the readers.

Shankha Da,
You have rightly said that we all need inspiration to do wonder.I can give an instance here in the context of our freedom movement.most of the patriots left their everything for their country before the age of 40.after 1893 I want to take a name, the freedom-fighters got enormous inspiration from Him and a revolution happend in India after 1901 ... He is our Swami Vivekanada (Gone at the age of 39).He inspires me a lot.and ofcours our fighters in past and present.
I respect Sukanta, Ramanujan too much and if a single man can have a touch of their lives and get inspired, that will be the success of your Blog... please write more names and references on THEM, the inspirers...
I want to thank Brian Johns(27 yrs, British rock star),Bruce Lee(32 yrs,Martial art guru) etc and lots of Social reformers ... Greatmen like Jesus Christ(33),Sri Chaitanya Mahaprovu(Inspiring life and bengal revoution), Acharya Shankar(Thrilling life and saver of our religion)... all went earlier.
Finally want to quote : "be the burning light" (Atmo dipo vabo ... By Gautam Buddha)... I hope oneday "Shankha" will be the inspirer of writing Blog,Writing Java code or something else ... :)
